LinuxCert.Guru vs Red Hat Training

Red Hat Training is the source of truth for the RHCSA. The RH124 and RH134 courses (or the RH199 rapid track) are written by the people who write the EX200 exam, and the exam itself can only be bought from Red Hat. If your employer is paying, it is the obvious first choice.

LinuxCert.Guru is not a replacement for that curriculum. It is a practice platform: 45 task-based RHCSA labs on real RHEL machines, graded against the machine when you submit, plus a full-length mock exam reviewed by a person. Where Red Hat Training is the better choice

  • You want the curriculum straight from the exam vendor, with nothing lost in translation.
  • Your employer is paying, and the exam voucher plus a retake being in the bundle matters.
  • You learn best from live instruction and want an expert to ask in real time.

Where LinuxCert.Guru is the better choice

  • You are paying for yourself. A year of unlimited practice costs less than half of one exam sitting.
  • You already know the material and need repetitions on exam-style tasks with a grader telling you what you got wrong.
  • You want a verdict before the real thing: a timed, two-node mock exam reviewed by a person.
  • You do not want a lab-hour meter running while you practise.
Our take

They are different products that work well together. Take the official course if it is in budget, then practise here until the grader stops finding mistakes. If you can only afford one, a year of LinuxCert.Guru plus the $500 exam is still less than a single official course.

Questions, answered

Do I need Red Hat Training to pass the RHCSA?
No. Red Hat recommends RH124 and RH134 but does not require them. Many candidates prepare with a book or video course and a lot of hands-on practice. The exam is entirely practical, so time on a real system matters more than the source of the lessons.
Can I buy the EX200 exam through LinuxCert.Guru?
No. The exam is only sold by Red Hat and its partners. LinuxCert.Guru is a practice platform; you book the exam separately.
Are LinuxCert.Guru labs on real Red Hat Enterprise Linux?
Yes. Every lab boots a real RHEL 10 machine in your browser and grades your work against that machine's actual state.
