Our Refund / Cancellation Policy
Refunds are prorated for the unused part of your plan, after the payment-gateway fee is deducted. This page explains exactly how that is calculated and how to ask.
Thank you for choosing LINUXCERT GURU for your hands-on learning needs. We're dedicated to your satisfaction and to providing high-quality, impactful educational experiences through our platform. We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as flexible as possible.
How refunds work
Every refund follows the same three rules, whichever plan you bought and whenever you ask:
- The payment-gateway fee is deducted first. Our payment provider keeps a processing fee on every payment and does not return it to us when a payment is refunded. We deduct that fee from the amount you paid before anything else is calculated.
- The remainder is prorated. After the fee is deducted, you are refunded the share of the remaining amount that corresponds to the unused part of the period you paid for, counted from the day we receive your request to the end of that period. The same applies to a monthly plan, a yearly plan, a renewal, and the two-month RHCSA Fast Track.
- No refund is for the full amount paid. Because the gateway fee is always deducted and the days already used are always counted, a refund is never 100% of the payment, even if you ask on the day you bought.
Example: on a $200 yearly plan, if the gateway fee on that payment was $6 and you ask for a refund with 300 of the 365 days unused, the refund is ($200 − $6) × 300 / 365, about $159.45. The exact gateway fee depends on your card and country, so we confirm the figure with you before processing.
Cancelling
- You can cancel a subscription at any time from the billing portal on your dashboard. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Cancelling does not issue a refund on its own. If you also want the unused part of the current period refunded, request it as described below, and it is calculated by the rules above.
Exceptions
- RHCSA Mock Exam attempts are non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased, whether bought on their own or included in a plan.
- Plans bought under an Enterprise or team agreement follow the refund terms in that agreement.
How to request a refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Contact our support team via email at support@linuxcert.guru with your request.
- Provide your purchase or enrollment details, including the date of purchase, the plan purchased, and your reason for requesting a refund.
- Allow us up to 2 business days to process your request. We may contact you to verify your request or gather more information.
Additional terms
- Refunds will be processed using the original method of payment. If that is not possible, we will work with you to find an alternative method.
- Refunds are processed after the payment-gateway fee has been deducted and the remainder prorated, as described above. Partial-period refunds are calculated to the day.
We reserve the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and we encourage you to review our policy periodically.
